Level Ⅰ General Familiarisation Type Training
As per EASA regulations, our General Familiarisation Type Training courses give an overview of the airframe, systems and power plant as outlined in the Systems Description Section of the Aircraft Maintenance Manual/ Instructions for Continued Airworthiness. We do this in a practical manner, ensuring that our students gain a solid understanding of the systems and their operation.
Located next to an MRO at Malta International Airport (MLA/LMML), our EASA Part 147 approved training facility gives our students the unique opportunity of an aircraft visit during the course (provided there is an aircraft available) to enhance the learning experience.

Upon completion of our General Familiarisation Type Training course, the student will be able to:
- Identify safety precautions related to the airframe, its systems, and power plant;
- Identify maintenance practices important to the airframe, its systems, and power plant;
- Define the general layout of the aircraft’s major systems;
- Define the general layout and characteristics of the power plant;
- Identify special tooling and test equipment used with the aircraft.

Examination
A closed book multiple choice examination will be conducted at the end of the 4 days course. The pass mark for the exam is 75%, leading to an EASA Approved certification. Students can opt to apply for a CAT C license for the respective aircraft type should this be applicable to them. A certificate of attendance can be issued to the student who completed the course to fulfil the compliance requirements for AOC and/ or Part M organisation.
